Check-In

Hi ladies,

This is just a check-in. The semester is well on its way now and I wanted to see how everyone was doing thus far. I know that it is difficult to remember to check in to this regularly, so hopefully with email reminders we will get a little more communication going! If the emails get overwhelming, just let me know and we will remove them! I think that this point in the year is usually a good time to start focusing on stress and time management (before mid-terms) =D so does anyone have any advice/tips/questions about managing these? I have some great websites for progressive relaxation and guided imagery, etc. that you can check out and let us know what you think - they put me to sleep sometimes since you can actually play it as an mp3! Here is the url: http://hypnothut.com/MP3.htm Enjoy!!!

Beginning Questions

Hello all,

Just to jump start our group, I wanted to invite everyone to post any questions, comments, concerns, iformation, ideas, etc. that they had. If there are any topics that you would like to learn more about or to discuss please feel free to post those. If you would like to introduce yourselves, this is also a great time. For these, you may give your name, age, class, children, children's ages, or absolutely nothing! I look forward to participating and learning from all of our knowledge and experience over the semester!

Introductions

Hello all,

My name is Amanda Blue and I am a graduate student intern in the Peace College Counseling Center. I will be the facilitator for this blog. We will focus on issues relevant to student mothers. I will introduce several topics for discussion, however, you as mothers will ultimately guide the direction that it takes. Please feel free to post any comments, questions, or concerns that you feel would be relevant to this group. Participation is voluntary, however, we hope to get as many student mothers as possible to join us so that we can get a wide range of views, opinions, and experience. We decided to use a blog since we know how busy you are - this way you can participate in a support group on your own schedule. So, Welcome!
